We seem to be running a run oriented spread offense.

it blows........

I will say this until the coaches start to do it

get the damn ball into talmadge's hands..... 10- 15 times per game SOMEHOW!

WE WILL WIN FOLLOWING THIS SIMPLE PHILOSOPHY!.....

Look at what he did today when he got a hold of it! put the damn ball into your best players hands.....period!

.....and that is #2 in the progam....#1 in our hearts.....

sorry :P

Tell me what you guys think about this.

I believe that Bob Hauck and the coaching staff have absolutley no faith Jeff Disney. I think they are just trying to get through this stretch of games or maybe even this year so they can get "their" guys in. I dont doubt that they want to win but i think they are looking ahead to next year.

But still, like everyone else this offense has me baffled, i think that Phenicie or whatever the hell his name is found the Ron "Chickenhawk" Richards playbook.

I only think taht Disney made one good pass and that was the second touchdown pass to Talmadge. Other than that there was nothing.

I can't remember in the last two games seeing Disney complete one pass into decent coverage to a receiver running down the sideline. I'll be worried now until I see a flicker of big-play offense. If the coaches are so displeased with Disney, they need to try Hartman out, not just run the ball all the time. I know we'll be throwing more eventually. I just looked up the Wyoming offensive stats from last year:

39.1 passes/game
32.8 runs/game

There's a balanced offense right there. That's all I want to see. Just mix it up and go about 50/50 on first and second downs to keep the other guys on their toes, then determine whether a pass or run would be more appropriate depending on a given third down spot. I mean, damn, Phenicie might not feel comfortable passing a lot with what he's got right now, but an incomplete pass is the same as a predictable run up the gut for no gain. Entertain us, already.

I leaned over to my wife and yelled in her ear in the 2nd quarter....................throw the ball to Talmage, every damb play!

It is very clear that Disney telegraphs where he is going to pass. Coaches don't seem to be able to break him of this habit that will lead to interceptions, so they have no choice other than to run the ball. Too bad Griz are not very good at running the ball. Griz offense needs a huge amount of work, and very frankly a new QB named Craig Ochs.

In my opinion there are two reasons why our offense is so static. The play calling has been poor. For example it seems like its either a run, or throwing down the middle of the field. What happend to the high percentage passes? That would help open the field up. Seem like the timing for certain plays are when you would expect them the most. I think the play calling is a big problem. Secondly I think Disney isnt playing well. I think he is trying to carry the team to much. The stars of this offense are talamage and seagers, they need the ball. Take the pressure off Disney (or Disney take the pressure of himself) and the offense comes together better.
