We owe Sark a big Thanks

George Ferguson

Well-known member
For being a huge A-Hole to the other JJ - Jamaal Jones. Jones transferred to UM, not because of lack of playing time, or any disciplinary issues, or off the field issues or even educational issues. Jones transferred to UM because he spent an entire year in Sark's doghouse for supposed "drops" in practices. From what I heard, Sark rode him about as hard as any underclassmen on Washington's team that year.

Now, almost two years later, Jones, IMHO, is becoming one of the best big-play WR's in the FCS, no not just the Big Sky, the FCS. His hands are so reliable, it's hard for me to ever think he had the drops. He comes up with more big plays every week, it's incredible. And, actually, I thought he was just as great last year, but certainly, he was the No. 2 guy to Ellis Henderson. But now, there's no denying, Jones is the real deal, and the Griz are very lucky to have him, and especially luck Sark was such a huge dickhead to him.

Sark really tore it up in South Central this season. Still can't believe he got that job. SC's good ol' boy network makes UM's look like an awkward game of horseshoes at a family reunion.

Agreed. Jones is a bigtime receiver and great athlete. Makes highlight reel catches multiple times each game. His only drops are the easier ones.

UW's top receiver has 48 catches and 484 yards and 3 TD's this year. 40 yard average per game. Another receiver has 4 TD's.

The real deal for what? Being a top Pac-12 receiver?

I'm gonna have to think about this. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I do need to think about this before committing to a response.

And if my "seconding" of your post for POTY weren't indication enough of my belief in its merits, let me spell it out more plainly: While there are many levels to this thing that I may never be able to completely understand, the depths which I have been able to plumb are astonishing in their brilliance. You're playing a different game, friend.

 When you reach the bottom, you will understand everything. By everything, I mean everything. Then, you will see.
