:thumb: I just posted the same thing in another thread. This is the #1 concern in the offseason and if the coaches don't take care of this they are more incompetent than I thought.

I would have liked to see how Shaw would do. I think we should cut our ties with Lider and work on Worst. I think he is capable of good things.

I am afraid we will all find out how incompetent they are. Hopefully JJ returns next year even if we can't kick field goals.

Where would JJ go for his senior season...?

Kicker should be a priority. Heck yesterday we could have at least attempted what 4 or 5 50 yarders? Better than just launching bombs at the end zone. Oh or I guess we could have just tried picking up the first down on a short pass to keep the drive alive! But who am I to 2nd guess.

I still think Worst could be a good kicker with better coaching and working to improve his technique.

Wait a minute. According to PlayerRep everyone at this level should know how to play the game, they don't need to work on technique. That would just be plain stupid and a waste of time. Just ask him, cause he played at this level and they never worked on fundamentals or technique. ;)

Worst has had his moments, both good and bad but a couple of those 4th downs were from close range. I would have given him a shot. He was dead-on for the extra points.

Agreed. His PAT was sound and would be good from 25-30 yards. He needs to fix his mechanics so he is not changing his approach on a longer kick.

50 yarders with the wind and cold, you are nuts. Watched the Eagles and Lions today and they didn't even try PATS, get a clue dude.

The Bronco kicker nailed a 64 yarder at 13 deg F. The CC kicker managed to get a couple of his kickoffs into the endzone. But they are both better kickers than we have.

Play calling is the key. Better chance of picking up 4th and 4-6 (as long as you're not chucking it 30 yards downfield) than making a 50-yarder.

I think Worst will work out, he's just a freshman. I think throwing bombs into the endzone had a better chance of success then trying to kick a 45-50 yard feel goal under those conditions. We need to recruit defensive linemen. Quite frankly, our front 4 were pretty week most of the season.
