I use the watchespn app..the quality is however not very good...I use my iphone5 or iPad mini...does anyone know of anyway I can improve the quality? Also I use someone else's tv provider, would that cause a problem?
 
are you using wifi or cell site? what is the speed of your wifi? I use ROKU, but have 20meg service and its perfect 1080P.

I use wifi...and I'm not sure what the speed is.
 
There are several on-line speed test utilities speedtest.net says today I have 35 mbps down, a bit under 5 mbps up.

I'm no expert - but your download speed is about 1mbps - 1 mega byte per second. Pretty slow.
