Anyone worried about the D Line? Two DT’s approaching 3 bills and then a pretty big drop off in weight and experience. Sure would like to see more depth up front. About the only real concern I have as a fan. Offensively the Griz will be tough to shut down. Defensively - a couple of big D Line drop downs would be nice. Don’t think it is going to happen though.
The position is different in this new scheme. There’s only 3 DLs. We don’t need four 300+ DTs to be two-deep at the position anymore. Hauck is more worried about LBs and Ss positions than his D-Line. Here’s what he said:
"I like our D-line," says Hauck.

"I think we've got guys that can compete at a high level, we're two-deep at each position in our three spots, and we've got other guys that can fill in. So, we're on good footing there on the D-Line."

I'm going to say not worried. I'd rather we had a few more 300's on the defensive line but those guys are hard to find and are mostly playing for Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, etc. Our D scheme requires strong, quick guys who can blow up A and B gaps, or cause overloads that tie up TE's and stops Guards from pulling (basically eat up blockers) so that our LB's can make plays. To misquote Rick Petino "Warren Sapp ain't walking through that door."

I feel like Gruber, Alford, maybe Brown, and the Demming who doesn't catch TD's can hold down that spot. I'm probably missing a guy or two but since nobody talks football on this site. LOL Who cares?

Sask, are you trying to bait ducks into talking football? I’ve seen some clever trolls before but this one takes the cake 8-) .

I'm Canadian we are by nature very optimistic people. Plus we don't have assault rifles and if we did hollow point bullet wound care would still be free.

I didn’t click the bcn link for a laugh, but I got a good chuckle out of this post, Sask.

If the shooter was competent, AND using JHP ammo, there would be no need for free wound care. :dead:
Practice, practice, practice.
