Wait until Kramer hears this!

"I believe we have the best defense in the Big Sky,'' Key told the Idaho State Journal. "I know if we execute against our defense we can kill anybody in the conference.''

So I am confused....Is it ISU or MSU that has the best D in the Big Sky????

Crap...if this keeps up, the Griz will be the worst D in the Leauge! And ISU is going to KILL us!!!

Of course, Kramer thinks he has the best defense when there is no offense to play against. When his "best" defense gets to play against the offenses of other Big Sky teams they're not going to be quite so good. And, when they play the GRIZ neither defense nor offense will be quite as good as he thought they were! 8)

Well, considering we have led the Big Sky in total defense for the last two years, I think our defense will be able to handle the rest of the league quite well. Especially considering that our defense will be much better this year than last year. You can ask good ol' Johnny Montana and his buddies how good our defense is since they couldn't even crack 200 yards against them last year. So our boy down there at ISU can talk all he wants, but we'll just continue to back it up by shutting teams down while ISU is kept out of the playoffs again.

I wager that ISU will beat MSU this year. By two scores. ISU will be the biggest game for the Griz this year.....But we do have some business to attend to in Bozoland.

Ah, but you forget that we have ISU at home this year (for Homecoming, nonetheless), and we have a score to settle with them from last year. If you don't remember, Junior Adams caught a TD pass (in my somewhat biased opinion, although I watched the play about 20 times and tried to be as unbiased as I could be), but was ruled to not have possession of the ball, and the Bungels won 18-14 in Pocatello. That game was a big sore for us last year and this off-season, and I think we will be the ones to win by a couple scores. They will be very tough, though, they have a good team. You guys will have a tough game having to go down to Butte #2 also. I can't believe you are saying that ISU is UM's biggest game this year. Cat/Griz is always the biggest game of the year for both the Bobcats and the Grizzlies, unless maybe you count a national championship game. Even then, it's still a coin toss. We could lose every single game of the year, but if we beat the Griz, I would still consider it a good season. 1985 comes to mind! Not that I want that situation to present itself, but I'm just saying...

Yes, I agree, Idaho State is the regular season game to be most concerned about. The Cats don't have much of an offense it seems and Lulay hasn't done anything this spring. Last year was our rebuilding year with just two defensive starters graduating and one from offense. Bozone will have to bring up last year's game for the next sixteen years. 8) Funny how he never mentions any other games from the last seventeen years. :o

LMAO

Sooo....where do I start? I don't think I can respond through all of the snickering...maybe I'll try later. :P

C'mon, this is sports, it's all about "what have you done for me lately?!" And you guys go on ahead thinking we won't have much of an offense this year, that's fine with us. For your information, Lulay had a tremendous scrimmage in Billings, although he didn't do much this last Saturday. Primarily, this was because he didn't have any time due to the young and inexperienced offensive line not being able to handle one of the best defensive units in the country. Once we get our boys healed up and get our other two jucos, our o-line will be very strong. I'm not too worried, Lulay won't likely see another defense as good as ours for the rest of the year. The only exceptions might be the Griz and whoever we play in the championship game. And our backup QB had a great day and looked very good, so I think we will be just fine.

As a sidenote, I think it is a disgrace to this state for those of you who profess to believe that ISU is a bigger game for you than the Cats. That is just a joke, and I worry about those of you who actually believe that.

The better team is going to be the bigger game for us, and it looks like Idaho State is ahead of MSU on the foodchain of Big Sky opponents.

You guys go on ahead and keep thinking that! I have no idea what your basis is, but then again, I know that not all of you take logic and facts into consideration when making such statements. If you want to underestimate us, then go right ahead and be my guest. Fact is, we return just as much (if not more?) than Idaho State, and we beat you guys last year, while ISU did not. Even though you did manage to luck out against them on Homecoming...

Now I've heard it all......a Cat fan talking logic and fact!!!!!!

Ok Bozo......Here is the logic and facts. MSU beats the Griz one time in the last 17 years.....now they think they are going to the Championship game.....

Hell, if that were the case E-WU would have a few rings on there fingers...The same E-WU of which your beloved coach use to hold the reigns.

The FACT is that they do have a Big Sky title....and on there best year won a couple of playoff games....but never saw the championship....and most likely never will. And they beat us more than just one time in the last 17 years. Then again, they have had their share of losing seasons over that stretch. The Griz have not.......

Please remember that you got beat on your homecoming last year by a D2 school.

I feel sorry for you really. One season you FINALLY beat the Griz...and now you have delusions of grandeur! A sure sign of desperation. Trying to grasp onto anything that would somehow put you on top of the unclimbable mountain, which is named "the best team in MT."

May I please ask why you think the Cats are on the verge of this huge season....(as if I didn't know)..... Have you been buying the Minister of Information's (a.k.a. Mike Kramer) BS?????????

"The Griz are nowhere near as good as us....they will not come within 200 miles of our holy city.....they try to advance but we destroy their efforts...Alla will see to it that the Griz will never win this war....we have won the in-state recruiting wars.....we will win the War this fall..... "

I don't know if you paid attention to what happened to the "other" minister of mis-information.....But rumor has it that he is no longer so bold, or ignorant about what the out come of the war will be. If you were smart, you would liberate yourself by becoming a Griz fan. Then you could run out on to the streets without fear, and know that you are free at last, you are free at last, great God Almighty, you are free at last!

The Griz/Cat game will never be as big to Montana as it is to Montana State. Griz fans just don't think about the Cats 24/7/365, but Cat fans are always thinking, 'Grizzlies, Grizzlies, Grizzlies, Grizzlies.' So let the obsession go, Cat fans. It's not like you're on our side. You could be Griz fans if you wanted. It's not too late to change your ways. So, who else is looking forward to that Idaho State game?

Wow! that's how it works? you beat your cross state rival and march to the national championship the following year. Where did we go wrong? You know we rank in the top two in I-AA for playoff appearances, but have only made it to the championship four times and won it twice. Just think what we could have done if only we had went right from the bobcats to the big game. :drinking:
That MSU thinks it's bound for the championship after a half-assed season of unbeleivable wins and embarassing losses just shows how little you guys know about the I-AA playoffs, or even the success of your own conference.
Yep just beat the Griz and march to the championship-- Just like PSU, NAU, EWU, Weber State, Northridge :fist: That's the way it worked for them. Of course, they repeated their Griz victories the following year. -- right :fist:
The best defense in the country, best quarterback, best injured offensive line, best stadium, best fans-- Boy, you guys have it all. I don't even know why we bother. Hey, lets just call off 2003. If you can get 122 other I-AA teams to do the same, you'll be champs.
