WAC expands once more..

The Big Sky is a joke, and the WAC is a joke. Solution: Take the best schools from each and form a new conference.
I assume this would be a FBS conference. I do not believe UM could move up w/o MSU doing so, also. In the eyes of the regents and the politicians, UM & MSU are joined at the hip.

In addition to being consistently competitive in the money sports, Weber has a great basketball arena, a decent football stadium, and it's really easy to get there for any other schools in the region. They would be a no-brainer as Utah State's travel partner. The only issue would be whether Utah State is willing to be in the same conference.

Weber is one of the best from both conferences? I can't remember what they've done lately..

Well, I do know that Weber State is the only football team in the nation that has beaten Montana TWICE in the last 3 years,(yeah thats not alot, but buy the way you talk about Montana being the best team in the world, Weber beating them must be a great accomplishment :roll: ) Also, Weber recently won a share of the Big Sky title and went to the playoffs 2 years in a row, and was 1 win away from going a 3rd time in a row. And 2 years ago, they had 5 turnovers, and still only lost to your precious wyoming by 7, and came a fumble away from beating the Colorado State Rams in Ft. Collins.

In hoops, Weber led the Big Sky in attendance again, had the 93rd highest attendance in the nation out of over 300 schools, had the 19th highest attendance in the West alone, and The Wildcats also finished with a higher attendance average then three Pac-10 schools, four Mountain West schools, five WAC schools, and seven West Coast schools. And they went to a post season tournament.

Where were you when all this happened?

Still waiting to hear what Weber has done lately......

Any noise in the FCS playoffs? Nope. If you're hanging your hat on beating the Griz, then your football team needs help.. because that doesn't make a team noticeable. Any significant appearances in the NCAA tournament where they weren't embarrassed? Maybe. Blah blah blah attendance.. no one cares about that unless the team is charging through the NCAA or NIT tournaments.

BTW, your team was embarrassed last time they went to Laramie.. scoring TDs in scrub time against 2nd and 3rd string players doesn't make the game close.

Is this seriously the list?

I was at that game in Laramie. It was pretty close through out the game if my memory serves correctly.

26-7 most of the way through the 4th quarter isn't "pretty close." http://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=292482751" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wyo pulled the defensive pressure, stopped blitzing and played prevent D the entire 4th quarter. Thus they gave up a couple of late scores

WSU had a pretty good QB if he had the time. If he got hit he struggled.

Geez, I wonder who you're referring to here? Interesting euphemism there; don't worry, I wouldn't give them that much more credit either.

UM was officially called Montana State University until 1962, if my memory serves me right. You can still see the name engraved on some of the older buildings around campus. It's an honorable name in my book.

During the same period the school in Bozeman was called Montana State College, so I'm going with that.
