I don't get why bobcat fans get so upset about this, and it REALLY seems to piss them off.

Look, our mascot is up for mascot of the year, more of a promotional thing for Capitol One, but hey, whatever. As fans of the University of Montana we take pride in our school - so when our mascot is up for an award, we vote for him.

What is the big deal about that?

If Champ (that's his name still, right?) was in this thing I'd guarantee that cat fans would be geeking out about it and telling all their friends to vote as much as possible.

They do not like the fact that UM gets more publicity (good publicity) than they do. They don't want to admit it, but they are truly envious. If they weren't, why would they bother to say anything? The streak really scrambled what little brains some of them had. Most cat fans are pretty nice people, but the ones who get all uptight over Monte, the stadium Denny Washington, etc, get old.

Okay, from a neutral point of view, Monte was definitely the class of the field.

Really liked the backflip signature move (though Big Red eating a bucket of golf balls was, well, unique!)
