Yuppie beer establishments aside, the real fan action Friday night will be the downtown bars, the Missoula Club, Red's and the Stockman's.

Good info. Thanks for that! About to book my flights and hotel. Really excited for this trip as I’ve heard Montana is beautiful and I love y’all’s stadium.

My brother played at NSU back in the day and came to Missoula for a playoff game. Y’all trounced us in a snowstorm. He said it was the coolest atmosphere he’d played in.

Also, weather-wise I’m not worried if it’s hot. Montana heat can’t be as bad as Houston heat. I’ll pack a light jacket regardless.
I remember those games. I believe Craig Nall was the Demons' quarterback for at least one of them. He was pretty good.

He sure was! That was 2001 or 2002. Craig worked a lot of Elite 11 camps and QB Camps around Houston so we got to know each other pretty well. He’s a cool dude that can still sling it with the best of them. Next-level arm strength.
My brother was on the ‘04 squad.

Sadly, that ‘04 team was our last conference championship. Matter of fact, haven’t had a winning record since like 2008. Frustrating doesn’t begin to explain it! Y’all don’t know how good you have to root for a winning team. I’ll wear my purple and orange every year regardless.

I was at that 2004 game. You guys had a DT who was shaped like a fishbowl. #55 if I recall correctly. Dude just clogged like nobody’s business.

all this talk about the upcoming season has me wondering, on behalf of our demon friend, if anybody knows what policy this year will be regarding bringing snakes in the stadium?

Hey, one more question:

Best brewery/bar in town? Or maybe a top 3-5 so we can hop around.

If you're gonna 'hop around,' don't forget this address: 2340 Mullan Road, the MCDF. The rates for a room are kinda steep, but no reservations are required, AND transportation TO the Missoula County Detention Facility(MCDF)is free! AND, you WILL meet some interesting people during your stay.

Could not agree more, ware your teams colors proud and you probably won’t buy a drink all weekend. Montana is known for that, you just won’t have enough time to see it all but that will make you come back.
Our favorites are the Mo club, Iron Horse restaurant which serve’s Bayern beer, sit out on the patio👍 Have the nachos, yummy.
The Shack for breakfast, !!!!!
Walk campus, beautiful!! But may be some construction Welcome

Welcome Demon!

You've seen a lot of posts on the weather, and I am sure you've heard the saw adage, " If you don't like the weather wit for 10 minutes and it will change. " Nowhere is that more true than in Western Montana in September. The only thing you won't have to worry about that time year are hurricanes and below zero temperatures!
The best advice you can receive is to pack for all kinds of weather, cause it may be 80 during the game and 40 that night.

As for breweries, you really can't go wrong at any of them, and there is a lot to choose from. All offer a unique experience. As do the several local distilleries and the one cider house in town.

Have fun and enjoy your stay!

Not too worried about the weather anymore! I’ll just make sure to check before flying out. Anything is better than what I’m currently dealing with. High of 103 today, feels like 109. No signs off of stopping any time soon.

I’ll make sure to pack my purple! Free beer is always nice…even it is offered out of sympathy.

Still tastes as good.
