Im getting excited about the upcoming season and just remembered something i saw at hoopfest this summer in spokane. Anybody else catch any of Virgil's games at hoopfest? I happened to be at the main court on one of the days and I had no idea he was playing but who should come out to play but ex-griz and one of my favorite players from recent history: Virgil. His team took on (i believe) the champions of the last years elite mens division who also had ex NBA player Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins on their squad. Granted Dawkins is pretty old for bball player now, but his squad was obviously the favorites to win as defending champs and being hyped up by the commentator for having a NBA player. But Virgil tore it up and dominated the game and his team pretty easily beat Dawkins' team. He scored most of their points and made it look easy doing it. It was pretty cool seeing a former Griz player put a schooling on a bunch of other dudes that were pretty cocky about their bball talents (Dawkins didnt seem this way but the rest of his team did).
