Yes, I know there was another thread. But it appears to have devolved into a back and forth between some folks.

Chase was pretty negative about Montana, saying he didn't feel wanted or welcomed. It's unfortunate as the offense developed and they moved bigger bodies into the inside receivers that he was pushed down the depth chart. But when you look at what the offense did down the stretch last year with EWU and State, it's hard to argue with the results.
Stitt definitely has his own style when it comes to accountability. When asked, he'll tell reporters about certain players. Like he did when asked why Curran didn't play much during the SUU game. He said he wasn't happy with the way he played at Cal Poly. A lot of coaches wouldn't do that, but Stitt does.
It wasn't personal. And when he has as many talented receivers as he does, he doesn't have to settle for a mediocre level of play because talented kids like Holman are stalking the sideline chomping at the bit to get on the field.
The good news is that it appears to have worked. Look at how Curran performed against MVSU and Sac State. The TD he pulled down against Sac State was almost identical to the one he dropped at Cal Poly that would have sealed a Griz win.
That speaks to the character of that young man. He didn't pack it in, he stepped up and earned his way back on the field.
Some kids don't respond that way. I won't pretend to know for certain, but I think the players who don't respond to that style of coaching and accountability are the ones that have moved on.
I wish Chase and all the others who left all the best. At the same time I continue to be impressed with the way the 2016 Griz are coming together as a team and growing as players. It's fun to watch!!
