Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. confirmed Wednesday that he broke his finger against Eastern Washington and reinjured it against Michigan State.
Adams spoke with the media after practice on Wednesday and called himself a "game-time decision" for Saturday's game against Georgia State.
The Ducks released a depth chart Tuesday night that listed Adams as the starter for Oregon's game against Georgia State this Saturday, though he is currently splitting reps at the starting position with Jeff Lockie.
"I can definitely play with it throughout the season because I played in it the last game," Adams told reporters, according to the Register-Guard. "I've got to keep rehabbing it, icing it and make sure the swelling is going down. Hopefully, it gets to 100 percent as soon as possible."
Oregon doesn't officially comment on any kind of player injury or health issue, but Adams seems to be fine talking about his health with the media.
On Tuesday, Oregon coach Mark Helfrich was asked about Adams' injury and said: "We don't really talk about those kind of player-availability kind of things other than the best guy for us is going to be out there playing. ... Like everybody is less than 100 percent at some point in the season."
The Ducks kick off at 2 p.m. ET against Georgia State on Saturday.
