UTAH VLLY ST VS GRIZ

Disappointing outcome tonight. This is not one I thought we would lose. A game like this makes me question "why I thought we would go 22-6?" Oh well it is a long season!!! I have faith in this team. Maybe it will get them to be more focused.

A lot of hoops left to play. We need to keep in mind the leadership that graduated in Criswell and Mathews, it takes a while for a team to establish roles and their own identity. This road trip will do a lot to establish chemistry and things like that. This game won't mean much down the road.

Not out of it yet, and if you remember we lost to Boise in the first game of the season last year.....

Well be ok :thumb:

I'm thinking of a one-syllable word that begins with "F". But in deference to the home team from Utah, let's just assume that word is "Fudge".

embarressing.

and someone started a thread about the big sky isn't doing montana any rpi favors

I also remember many posts that said the South Dakota State team we beat was horrible and the win meant nothing, now SDSU is nationally ranked. Dick Hunsacker is a heck of a Coach, this team of his might do pretty well. Perspective may be in order. Let's revisit this in a couple months and see, the season is barely started. :twocents:

I think I have said the same thing a coupla times. The loss of those 2 guys is a big thing, especially in terms of the leadership needed on the road. I think the GRIZ will be OK in time, but it will take time. :twocents:

Yes you have Gwhiz, wasn't trying to steal your thunder.

True grizwiz, nonetheless disappointing. I watched these guys play often over the summer. Martin was really doing all he could for leadership this summer. Maybe Strait needs to become more of vocal leader. He already leads by example.

ugly...but probably need to amend my expecations...obviously, need to..bball team has not found any identity yet...and road trips will help ..but whooo,,didn't like the sound of the defense or lack of..must guard everyone...all the time ...no uncontested shots ..Griz are going to miss guard leadership and Krysko's desire...please pick it up!...or could be long tourney next weekend
