Not too many really interesting matchups this week, except #16 Fordham at home against #6 Villanova. Neither of the games against FBS opponents look like good possibilities for an upset, but I thought I’d put them in anyway. (And they’re why I’m only allowing one choice.) Couldn’t resist putting in one “losers” matchup, just to let people contemplate who's going to start the season 0-2. (Probably RI, but Albany is no powerhouse either.)

Since the Griz don't have a game this week, this gives us something to do besides continuing to bitch about the last one.

For those new to this poll: Under-dog teams is on the left.

Wow ... so the majority (right now) think Villanova is going to start the season 0-2. :o

Fordham did look pretty good against Army, but with a break here or there, 'Nova could have won at UConn. I see a close game, with Fordham maybe pulling out a close one because they're at home -- but I'm not sure enough to make that my pick. :)

I'm not going to rule out Weber against NDSU. They hung in there with them last year, and they like to do damage through the air....which is definitely NDSU's vulnerability. They aren't as lousy as most believe, they had a bad record last year but they lost each game by a very small margin.

I'd like to see Fordham come in fired up after the win over Army and knock Villanova down to 0-2.

I picked Fordham. Not because I think they'll win, but because I think they have the best odds of pulling it off. I doubt it, though.
