This coming week, we have no bonanza like we had last Saturday. Still, we do have three games where two ranked teams are matched against each other. And, while many other ranked teams are playing cupcakes, there are enough games where the ranked team has a credible opponent (or at least one with a winning record). Also, both of the 4-4 teams that are playing ranked opponents have played a tough schedule, so there is at least some intrigue. [Only one ranked team is idle … #14 James Madison (7-2).]

(Underdog on the left, two choice allowed.)

Edit: After looking over the New Hampshire record to make a post about them having no votes for an upset, I decided to change mine. :)
Richmond is very good, but UNH has been pretty tough at home over the years. And three of their 4 wins this year have been at home, while all of their losses have been on the road.

Which also makes the point: The setup does allow you to change your vote(s) if you learn something to make you reconsider -- like an injury being worse, or better, than expected and so forth.

Hmmm ... quite a consensus building that SDSU can take care of #2, probably because the Jack-bunnies are playing at home. :)

Unfortunately in Bunnydome, SDSU's two losses were both at home. Granted, tough competition (UNI and NDSU). Four games on the road and all W's.......go figure.

Voted on two upsets that I'm hoping for as these two teams losing plus hopefully a Griz win would move us up in the polls.

But you did not say who. I assume you picked upsets of teams in the #17 to #23 range. Losses by teams ranked higher than that won't really help the Griz move up after they STOMP the ben-Gals.

Go Griz!

Interesting take on the UNH-Richmond game: http://www.fcs.football/cfb/story.asp?i=20151105115327679823904&ref=hea&tm=&src=FCS

The Spiders (7-1, 5-0 CAA) made the playoffs last year for the first time since 2009 and are a near-lock to return, reaching No. 5 in the STATS FCS Top 25 with their only loss coming in the opener to FBS foe Maryland. New Hampshire (4-4, 2-3) was a national semifinalist last year, but its run of 11 consecutive playoff appearances is in jeopardy due to losses in all three conference road games.

Having this matchup at home could make all the difference considering the Wildcats are 17-1 at Cowell Stadium since the beginning of the 2013 season. The Spiders haven't won there since 2000.

(Bump.)

Interesting. During the Dartmouth-Colgate game last night, the announcers talked about several other FCS games. They mentioned a possible upset at New Hampshire because of how tough UNH has been at home.

Double Hot Damn! (See Big Sky upsets thread). Both my upset votes worked ... have not done that very often.

I picked SDSU over #2 Illinois State -- along with most voters, so that's not that big a deal.
But only one other person picked UNH over #5 Richmond. So I got both my picks. Amazing.

The SHSU-McNeese game is still in progress, but McNeese (the lower-ranked underdog) currently leads.

Well, there were a bunch of upsets among the games listed here, plus in the Big Sky. Rough count (it's getting late) looks like eight ranked teams lost. Should make for an interesting shake-up in the polls. Griz should move up at least one spot, but most of the losses seemed to be in the top-10 ... so that probably won't help the Griz that much.
