Walk ons are an interesting lot. Weber has had guys walk on for a year and then we help them find a home at a JC or D11, we've had guys walk on and then just leave BB altogether. we have had them stay for several years, and we have had some, very few, earn a scholarship. This year we have one who walked on after leaving a D11, back for his second year, and we have two new players who both turned down D1 offers to walk on at Weber. I watched those two play a couple of days ago and I feel that they have a chance to earn a grant. Actually. I think they could start on a couple of BSC teams this year. I don't know if we will have room for them after recruiting is done, but I'm sure we could help them land somewhere good. It's not an easy life, being a walk on, they almost never play in a real game. They spend their time on the scout team, helping their teammates prepare to play. They are, however, some of the most beloved members of the team. Everybody knows the value of what they are doing. The fans love them as well.
