Hey, everyone! I've read from a lot of you asking "who won last year's Pick'em Challenge?" I'm sorry I didn't keep up with the standings last year and just wanted to give you an update on where we're at with past winners.
Old Process: Since starting this game back in 2016, the process I was using to track all your scores was extremely inefficient. Each week I would tally up each player's correct picks, input the points into a spreadsheet, and MANUALLY calculate each user's season win/loss totals (I couldn't figure out a formula for how I wanted it to be displayed). In addition to that, I had to make sure that all of your win/loss totals added up to the correct number of possible points given at each point of the season. With almost 100 players participating, it literally took me hours to update the standings each week and I experienced burnout. As the season progressed, I couldn't keep up with tracking the scores.
New Process: Thankfully, I found a formula that will streamline the process to quickly update the weekly standings. All I have to do now is enter your earned points each week into my spreadsheet and your season record will automatically update. This will allow me to sort everyone's position in the standings, quickly get it to you, and will save me a ton of time and effort. It should only take me 20-30 minutes now to finish each week compared to the hours it was taking me before.
With all that said, I have finally updated the standings from last season (2018) and we have a winner! The winner of the 2018 eGriz Big Sky Pick'em Challenge was grizfan47! Congrats, 47! :clap:
