Longtime UOP assistant hoops coach Aaron Woliczko (Wol-ITCH-ko) has accepted the head coaching position at Montana Tech.
He's a great guy. I spoke with him at the UOP HOF induction where his UOP teammate Adam Jacobsen (older brother of former Stanford star and NBA role player Casey Jacobsen) was inducted. He made no mention of this; perhaps it was a sudden thing.
Look for Tech to do well in the years to come. Woliczko's background playing for and coaching under Bob Thomason (himself a former UOP basketball player) gave him good training for this.
