UND beats UC Davis

When you are ahead 28 -7 going into the 4th qtr and are 28-28 with over 7 mins left, you best not be throwing no shade.

The radio feed I had wasn't great but I heard Bobby mention this "Griz Hangover" that was part of his last tenure. The internet feed kept skipping but I heard Bobby say something about "85% of teams [did something] the week after losing to the Griz". Does anyone know what stat he was dropping? Or maybe he was just completely swagging some stat when he was feeling good on the radio immediately after the game yesterday.

other than the ducks, have the griz played a team with a (current) winning record? obviously, the team had something to do with other teams' losing records, but i'm just curious.

You arent curious. You are trying to say something negative about the football team in a passive agressive fashion and tried to keep people from pointing out the obvious, such as they have losing records at least partially due to playing us and thereby trying to minimize our wins, its early and alot of teams play an FBS team in the OOC schedule and Davis played NDSU as well which is as good as a good (maybe not great) FBS team. Its cool man but just be more direct its less annoying.

first, i didn't go check records, so i don't know for sure. second, the overall records of opponents has been discussed as a potential factor a hundred times on egriz, as there's always someone who says the griz (or bobs, or whoever) haven't played anybody good. i don't think that's true for the griz this year, some of the teams looked like they would have beat the griz last year. also, the fcs, as you allude to, generally doesn't seem to have lots of teams with stellar records, due to playing up, etc... anyway, this issue still becomes a discussion point most seasons, so i think it's fair to bring it up.

Due in large part to the reasons you cited, many FCS and Big Sky teams have don’t have winning records at this point. Of the Big Sky’s 13 teams, only 4 have winning records at this point and 2 of those are 3-2. Also note that, overlay, all of FCS must lose more than it wins, due to the FBS games.

Trying to make a big point about the losing records of opponents is almost always borderline stupid, in my view. Pointing out the records is fine.

argh, you forgot to mention that you also realize those teams will likely have an FBS loss in addition to a Montana loss, right?

Guess that win is looking a little less impressive eh boys?

Thanks. Your entire schedule looked easy before played. Thanks.

And yet they’ve still struggled against those easy teams

Yep. So far, there only quality win was SEMO. And, they were tied/near tied at half time.

i agree, game-to-game matchups, injuries, etc etc are much more important factors.
