UNC holding their own.

The bears score their first touchdown at the end of the third quarter, trail the Buffs 21-7 going into the 4th.

Amazing, really. The Bears have virtually no running game: 14 yards on 12 carries at the end of the 3rd Q.

Maybe that’s a sign that we’ll be able to hold our own against UW with our depleted backs… (fingers crossed!)
 
I will give UNC some credit. Two years ago they would’ve rolled over and lost this game 56-0. They held a good Colorado team to 35 points and Dylan McCaffrey single handedly kept them in it. He’s definitely good enough to win them some games they might not otherwise win. Interested to see if they can keep it up.

Agreed ... they held their own much better than I expected. Probably not a good sign for Colorado fans, however.
 
After watching them, I can see them being a contender this year. I think they'll finish with a better record than blowzeman.

A contender? Better than MSU? You're dreaming. They were blown out by an unranked FBS team and produced a total of 20 yards rushing. We need to see more than that to believe things have changed that dramatically at UNC.
 
Buffs were 4-2 last season and a Bowl game. I’m not saying they’re great, but I think UNC played well for a team with a new coach, lots of new players, and not played for two years. Mccafrey played well besides a few bad throws, one that was crucial on a play we should have scored on a TD. Must fix that running game.

CU has a good rushing attack and we held that in check until the defense just ran out of gas.

Anyways, I enjoyed the game and a trip to the People’s Republic of Boulder is always interesting.

UNC one dimensional, the QB. UNC is Malloy.
 
So when UNC finishes above mid pack what are people going to say? I think they are going to do ok. Might be a year away from being a contender but over 500 is possible.

A contender? Better than MSU? You're dreaming. They were blown out by an unranked FBS team and produced a total of 20 yards rushing. We need to see more than that to believe things have changed that dramatically at UNC.

Colorado is also better than any team in the big sigh. If you don't think so, you're dreaming. UNC looked pretty good. They may have been one dimensional vs them but, that will change vs worse competition. Their QB is legit and will light up most of the big sky defenses. I think they will be top 5 in the big sky. I've never ever been high on UNC but, they're clearly progressing. The only teams I can see them losing to are EWU, Davis, Weber, and UM.

I never said Colorado wasn't better than any BSC team. I said they were an unranked FBS team. The score was 35-7 with no UNC capability to run the ball. I still need to see a lot more to be a believer in what you say. While no one else has, you're suggesting they go 4-4 and presume they beat MSU in Bozeman. You also suggest that gets them into the top 5. I'll take my logic.

Blowzeman is going to get slaughtered. They will not be a good team. Back to losing seasons like the good Ole Choate days.
