The University of Minnesota men's basketball site says the UM vs. UM game WILL be televised and will have a live video feed.
It appears the feed is the same CBS Sportsline subscription feed Montana uses. Access can sometimes be made if you're a seasonal CBS Sportsline subscriber. But I've found the best success just subscribing to the premium feed of the host school... though there are often complications.
Many schools allow a "30 day" subscription (the best option). You subscribe, pay your 7-to-10 dollar fee and enjoy. Other schools often require longer subscriptions (Idaho) and then will sometimes "re-charge" your membership account, in which case you have to call the host school (ticketing, usually) and request a cancellation of your "membership."
The televised games last year all worked out well and usually there's a much better stream than we're used to at the Big Sky site. I suppose it's up to you to decide if the hassle is worth the effort.
If you do decide to subscribe to the Minnesota feed, DO NOT wait until 10 minutes before game time. I'm going to subscribe today & catch part (or maybe all) of the Minnesota -- Lehigh game. Get the kinks ironed out & do a bit of a personal scouting report on the, uh... Wolverines? Badgers? Lynx? Otters? Lakers?
Golden Gophers?
Shoot! Whoever they are...
