UM QB Situation - What about AJ Abbott?

Sneed had three game breakers on the edges to throw the ball to and healthy Johnson to hand it off to. For most of his time, he could also generate offense with his two feet. This group produced explosive plays all over the yard. Those matter.

QB'ing what was noted as his biggest win to date, Washington, Humphrey had an Akem, Roberts and a bunch of guys finding their way, and handed off to two freshman, one, a receiver who was pressed into service because most of the running back room was injured. Mix in the need to use a backup QB and those guys become even more vital. Fewer explosive plays, and it showed.

In. the fall, if the O-line can take steps forward, and someone can figure out something better than inside zone all the time, you've got a running back group that looks pretty solid, hopefully minus the catastrophic injury bug. No matter who winds up taking the snaps, their passing game depends a lot on a change of strategy and tactics, and whole lot of unknowns who need to take steps to become game breakers. If they aren't there, they need to be found. Idaho's success last season was finding someone who could make the right reads and pitch it consistently to their game breakers, Hatten & Jackson - the two best in the BSC. Those two made their award winning QB the guy he turned into. So best of luck to Abbott. It won't simply be on him, or Vidlak or some other unknown.

I actually think Sneed was more versatile, but clearly a matter of opinion. I am more interested by Hoops and Playa posting in the same thread. Intriguing.

Too funny. I updated IOS on my laptop last night, and now it's defaulting to PR at log in. I noticed this morning, and logged out. Then, must have missed it. PR died long ago.

...but where's Greeie? That guy had interesting posts

His coaches.

You both answered and didn’t at the same time! Talent! I was wondering how he wasn’t tough, not who gave the assessment.

Feel free to ask the coaches. I don’t care what you asked. You should be thankful for the info you received.

The news about Vidlak transferring and AhYat coming in as a freshmen seems to be good news for our QB situation. However, it seems nobody is talking about AJ Abbott, who transferred to UM last year from the Oregon Ducks. AJ had some impressive stats during his HS career in Texas and he has 3 years of eligibility as a Grizzly. He has good size and a strong arm. I think he might be in the mix too...

Perhaps, the weakest it's ever been.

You talking about your wrist again? Yep, probably the weakest it has ever been. Down in your Mom’s basement with all those Cat posters around you. Typing away on your keyboard. A lot of 20 something’s have the same problem. Poor fella. Maybe go to the clinic. They might be able to help you with your fixation with everything Griz as well. Maybe try an antidepressant. Do something. Do anything. You need help

No need to be nasty. If being evasive and vague is your answer then so be it.

Wasn't nasty or evasive. Get your own answers. No one on egriz owes you any answer, especially me. Stop acting like anyone owes you anything or that you are entitled.

I get it. You are right, no one owes me anything. I am entitled to 0 engagement with anything I post here. You could very well have ignored my question but you chose to answer in this way. I’m not unreasonable, but this is a bit extra. I get that we have differing opinions on much here, and I get that you have established relationships within the athletics department while I don’t. That’s why I ask questions.

I hope to have good conversations about Griz Football and I don’t expect an echo chamber. I just hope for a conversation that is less like this one has been.

*Looks at calendar, nods*

I suggest some CBD gummies. Takes the edge off. A LONG time before spring drills and a literal eternity before the actual season arrives.

Here is something: Someone will take advantage of the opportunity given. Who that is? I sort of trust coaches, paid rather handsomely I might add, to make a professional calculation as to who that should be. Pretty sure Pease can identify the right QB for the system. Just saying.

Does anyone know if they are going to replace the OC?

It’s been discussed ad nauseum here for a while. The general consensus seems to be that Rosey is out as OC and Pease is in.

He didn't ask who the new OC was. He asked if anyone knew if the OC was going to be replaced. Don't be evasive.

Was Pease involved in the evaluation of K Brown?

Only Pease, Bobby, Rosey, and PR know the answer to this question.
