UM & MSU 'situations' juxtaposed

Yes, I am a GRIZ fan, and will be forever (on Earth and in Heaven). I am also a Montanan, through and through. With that said, I am so sick of GRIZ and CAT fans going back and forth about all the negativity that has happened at each program. It is sickening and disgusting the lengths some fans on each side go to make one program look better or worse than the other.

I get pissed enough every time I see any GRIZ or CAT player do something stupid legally, Then some obnoxious fans just continue to add gas to the fire. How about showing some damn respect for our State of Montana, and every player that busts his ass for our entertainment? These stupid crimes and stupid decisions need to end at both schools. I can get young adults making stupid decisions. What I can't get are fans past 25 continuing the effort to make both or either school look bad.

While I don't dispute the fact that there have been TOO MANY Griz players arrested in recent years, as is the case with EVERY SINGLE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PROGRAM IN THE COUNTRY, I gotta agree that some of these are lies. And it's also funny how people pick and choose who to include in these lists of bad Griz. Leaving off the two WHITE players who were arrested in Nodak for LSD, leaving a certain former WR/KR from the Electric City who was involved in a huge brawl outside Reds the night before a game, leaving off Trevor Poole, leaving off about three separate domestic disputes involving the great Lex Hilliard, and leaving off about 100 incidents I can remember that happened during the Don Read era when I went to school at UM, just from 1993-1996, one of which involved basically the entire Griz offensive line storming into a Frat and beating the bejeezus out of about four guys that were 1/3 their size.

But back to this list...

First off, Freeman was not a member of the Griz football team during the drug rip, so at least call him an ex-Griz. I also don't recall LV EVER being arrested for anything while playing for the Griz. Kemp wasn't arrested twice. Tim Parks was arrested for supposedly putting a gun to his girlfriend's head, and was suspended for the rest of that season. She recanted the story however, and I think people would find it interesting to know that they are now married and I believe still live in Missoula. Also, Justin Montelius is a GREAT kid, who really did nothing more than stand by and watch the incident in the dorm. He has played for MSU-Northern the last four years, has been a team captain the last two and will graduate this spring. His younger brother Brandt is also a stud receiver for the Lights currently. Also, I don't believe ANY of the players involved in that dorm incident were ever actually arrested.

Never-the-less, ONE Griz player arrested is one too many in my opinion, so carry on with your lists.
