UM Athletic Marketing/gogriz.com take notes

simple but extremely well done pre game promo video, countdown ticker and even gave the game its own logo...."Best of the West vs. Beast of the East". Hats off to ASU for creating something both schools can enjoy.

why does UM still fail to do things like this? it can't be very expensive. all it takes is a bit of creativity. our new players don't even have pictures added to their bios yet. :(

UM continues to overlook the importance of marketing in recruiting and in generating fan interest. the "Grizzly Den" videos are better than nothing, but still a bit hacky compared to other schools.

can we at least start updating our pictures on the roster and not list 6-4 players as 5-4 all season long?

Totally speechless... THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!

Most things that are lacking on go griz.com is the lack of work by Guffey. The dude turns into a prick when being called out on it too. I know this because I got into an email battle with him las year. He blames it on being too busy.

i'd honestly prefer they would spend the time posting stats, etc, but then again i'd rather just have a regular old scoreboard without video or anything.

I've never seen anything from ASU including fans, facilities, tradition - and marketing - that would have me think anything other than they are totally first class...plus their campus - which I've seen first hand - is darned pretty. :thumb:

I'm guessing that their days in the FCS are growing short...

Old argh has a point. With the poor replay (and the lack of) that we end up with on the big screen at the games, we may as well get rid of it. Yes every now and then we get to see a re-play but more often than not an interesting play is not shown.
Waste. Why not show 90% of the plays?
Big screen is way over rated. Good for crappy adds. Watching fans smooch. I quit watching it until the 50-50 pot numbers are shown late in the fourth.

Hmmmm I noticed last week most of the big plays were replayed on Griz Vision. What do you want them to show?

I don't think they do that at any college game, incites the crowd if the refs are wrong.
