UM at PSU Predictions

Griz start out with Lucas in the wildcat. He runs, hurdles and completes two passes on the first drive down the field for a touchdown!
PSU gets one first down and moves the ball 20 yards. A bad snap and the Griz have great field position. This time "dude" takes over and moves the ball down field into field goal range. 10 zip Griz half way through first quarter.
That's all I know at this time. Where's my bottle of Jack?

Very Sam Houston State of you. I wouldn't mind seeing a Tim Flanders-esque (remember that guy?) performance by Lucas or one of our RBs. Love the wildcat!

I remember Flanders. He was bad news. Read in another thread that Lucas is all over the place in practice. Would love to see him on the field to see what he can do.
Go Griz!

Would like to see a Griz win, but I think its going to be a tough task. Simis 2nd start but first on the road, a pretty good opponent, and weather looks terrible which will favor a team that runs it more.

PSU 35
Griz 27

KOD - Haley's picking Montana.

X-No. 17 Montana (4-3, 3-1 Big Sky) at No. 12 Portland State (6-1, 3-1), 5:05 p.m. - It will be hard for Montana sophomore Makena Simis to top the six touchdown passes of his first career start last week. His PSU counterpart, Alex Kuresa, may be a running quarterback, but he ranks second in the FCS in passing yards per completion (17).

Itll be interesting to see how Simis does in his 2nd start. Brady did great game 1, but then Cal Poly had tape on him and was prepared for his overthrows, ruining his 2nd start. With no obvious flaws in Simis' game, it might come down to execution against a better defense than ND's. Weather could also be a factor, but the defense has been playing lights out all season and you have to think they will find a way to contain PSU's offense. This game should give an indication as to the real potential of the season. A win and the Griz are in decent position going into November, so heres to the Griz coming out strong and willing this one close.

GRIZ - 31

PSU - 28

Griz 41 - PSU 38

Anyone in the forum making their way to Portland for the game? Heading there Friday, and wondering where the Griz tailgate can be located around their stadium come Saturday. Would be good to see some friendly MT faces during their homecoming weekend.

There will be plenty of Griz as we traditionally out number PSU fans. Tailgates are a joke, but there is another thread detailing a pop-up Griz bar for game day that will be as close as we are going to get.

Forcast looks to be dark, breezy and sloppy.......would think our opponents play in these conditions a lot more than we. Our chances lie in two factors. How much we keep them off the board and is our production of last game a one hit wonder.

I think our defense shows up and IF Simis is half as productive as last time we pull out a sqeeker in a monsoon!

Well they haven't this year. It has been very dry here and this is the first real rain since last spring. I don't believe PSU will have an advantage due to weather.

I said we score more than 17 and we win in another thread, but didn't take into account TOP.

Montana 35
PSU 24

Pretty close on that too. I predicted he'd be BSC off POW. We'll see if that holds up.
