In this interview, conducted by Amanda Pflugrad at the Combines, an analyst says that Harvey stood out in a negative way. Shot alot and didn't make many. The Harvey discussion comes up fairly quickly in the interview.

He reminds me of Adam Morrison, given enough attempts he'll score 30. And much like Morrison he's huge liability on defense.

Not a very well-rounded player. Can shoot from distance, but not a playmaker and not impressive on d. Glad he went pro, but I think he's a long shot

This season I criticized Harvey slightly by commenting I thought EWU was just as good when he wasn't playing. Their ball movement and team effort was much more consistent when he was out. Then again, a lot of that criticism was base on games the prior year, and few from this season. I felt he often tried doing too much and it hurt his team some. Then after he returned from his injury, he showed he indeed could be a team player, and takeover a game when needed. That was good to see, so I became a little more positive on him.

I do feel he is great at creating space to get better looks than many players can. Unfortunately, he is too inconsistent against better competition. If he wants a legitimate chance at the NBA, he needs to become more consistent at involving teammates, and pick it up defensively.

Too bad he struggled at the combine, and I believe hired an agent. I hope he can find his game and improve. I hate to see any player leave early and come up short, for whatever reasons.

A lot of scouts have varying opinions, Harvey didn't have a great combine but the fact he showed he could play at that level was a good thing. As far as the amount of shots taken, look at the box score from the combine, everyone is jacking up shots. 8 players in that game (harveys first game) took double digit shots, 18 played in the game, one shot better than 50%.

A team will want Harvey to come off the bench for offense, he will find a niche somewhere, and it wouldn't surprise me if he's a late first round pick as a lot of mock drafts say. He shot 43% from the 3 this year, which doesn't scream volume shooter...

From CBS Sports.com:

"Players whose stock saw a drop this week were Eastern Washington's Tyler Harvey, as well as Kentucky's Dakari Johnson. Johnson came into the combine a bit out of shape, and tested poorly while not playing in the games. Harvey did play in the games, but he played poorly and did not measure or test well. You will see both of their names in the final fifth of this mock. "

The more I look into it, the worse it looks for Harvey. He basically had a one weekend shot to show he could be a potential first rounder and it didn't go well. He will need to have a couple good workouts with teams or I think he'll be buried in the 2nd round...
