Toure'

Some interesting prospective on FCS players transferring up to FBS teams. I played a round of golf with David Raih, at that time the Arizona Cardinals WR coach (now at Vanderbilt). We discussed players like Jabril Cox and Toure' moving up to FBS teams to supposedly enhance their NFL prospects. He totally agreed that Cox enhanced his NFL grades at LSU (now projected as a second-round pick), but he disagreed on Toure' going to Nebraska. His reasoning was that the NFL scouts already had a high grade on Toure' from his last season performance at Montana, and that Toure' would have had many more opportunities to catch the ball in Montana's offense than in Nebraska's offense. Luke McCaffrey, the Nebraska starting QB, is an average passer, but a good running QB. Thus, Nebraska doesn't throw the ball nearly as much as Montana. He also thinks Toure' is good enough to make an NFL roster.

These NFL scouts will find the talent no matter what level of college football is played. He mentioned Cupp and Bourne at EWU. Just some interesting info from a coach who should know.

I’m pretty sure mccafery entered the transfer portal. Also, Nebraska had jack diddly for receivers. As a big red fan the whole thing is not impressive.

Thanks for update on Raih, I didn’t know where he landed. Being a Card fan, I like to follow the players and coaches.
Toure in Nebraska was a head scratcher.
Cox moving up to LSU was impressive to see how well he adapted so fast. I only viewed him as a edge rusher, after last year with his coverage skills, he could play ILB in NFL. I believe he had four INTs. Up to recent he has been the fourth or fifth top LB prospect.
Hope Toure’s abilities shine in Nebraska. Blocking and maybe some ST play will give NFL scouts positive information.
That reminds me of Flowers tackle on ST today, it was violent. Not just a returner or WR.

Oh lookie
Stevie dill tryin' to act important between
pickin" turds and hemroid clots out of his shorts...

Be honest, who's amazed?

Even Guernsey commented post game that that Nebraska's top receiver last year had a whole 300 yards and a single td last year....

Sure glad the pickle made up another story about it...

I sat next to Raih, first class, on a flight recently. He didn’t say anything about Toure but he wouldn’t shut up about some annoying pencil Dick he had recently been stuck playing a round of golf with.

Was it an assumption or an observation?

I’m leaning toward assumption but anything is possible 👍

Although the address didn’t load, it got me looking at Nebraska articles and it is good to see his impact on team so far, thanks for the post.
