Tonga Takai

Was at the game and just watched the replay. Good God did Tonga dominate this game. He won nearly every rep and was dominant at the point of attack. Nose tackle is an unsung hero of sorts on most teams as they don't have the opportunity to make many plays taking on double teams. Tonga made plays for himself and others, got to the QB on stunts around the edge and of course the huge INT on the zone blitz.

This is the best game I've ever seen him play with the Griz. To be able to play that many snaps at that size shows how hard this guy works.

Tonga made a mockery of the Cat O-line. His sack on a stunt, he just shoved the tackle off and wrecked the QB.

Our front seven made the DB's able to feel like they were taking candy from a baby. Complete dominance. Less that 250 yards of total offense for the Cats until that last meaningless drive.

Tonga is the most dominant interior lineman we've had in many, many years. It is nice having an athletic 300+ pounder plugging up the middle. His interception was a great example of his athleticism. He is a great young man as well and a fantastic example of being a model grizzly on and off the field. I can't say enough great things about him!!!

Takai was off the hook in and had a massive impact on the game. Makes me long for the days of Zach Minter.

Yeah, Cats seem to think it was all on their coach and QB with very little credit given to some excellent defense. Takai's INT was a great play that had to totally confuse Bleskin as it might have many other QB's including many in the NFL.

Bobcat #55 (isn't he one of their all-world October OL's) was tossed around by Takia all day....but it's Bleskin's fault he can't accurately throw it 30 or 40 yards with #37, #91, #95, #54 in his face??

Also.....Bobcat Nation sure knows how to call out players by name and totally diss them which I find total BS. At least EGriz mostly saves it for coaches and/or administrators. They'll ban Mousegriz for a couple comments that hurt their feelings....but fine with blasting their own good kids by name.

The "Poll" Cats......high in the polls each September/October.....fans working on their season long stat comparisons beginning about game 3 or 4.
