Just watched the youtube video of the BOR meeting. The big thing that jumped out at me is that our Superintendent of Public Instruction is batsh!t crazy.

My apologies, and thanks for the correction. I’m obviously not as connected as I once was.

She doesn’t drink and drive, does she?

I wouldn't be shocked: https://www.krtv.com/news/arntzen-pleads-no-contest-to-charge-of-passing-school-bus-stop-arm

Only at UM could a president of the university, whose 5 years in office did more damage than any in history, be "fired" from his job, but then allowed to remain as a professor. Engstrom should have been escorted from the state by the MHP.

Good freaking grief, the irony and hypocrisy of the SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION driving around a school bus loading children. From the article: "She said school bus safety is an extremely important issue, and that everyone needs to take it seriously." Everyone but her, apparently, because she's important. One could make the argument that it's a minor thing, but. NOT for her because she's the top dog in the Montana public school system and she should set a good example. Kind of like how college football coaches shouldn't get DUIs and then try to weasel their way out of taking responsibility for their actions, if for no other reason than that they are examples to the young men they coach.

I doubt she would know if she was.

Or she could just pull the "don't you know who I am?!?!" card.

I understand why these men could not be fired until they are actually found guilty. What I don't understand is why they could not be suspended, with pay, until the outcome is known. It seems like MSU could have saved themselves a lot of grief by taking that one small action. However, it is clear that MSU must be consistent with all of it's emplyees.

Also, I'm all for second chances, but not always at the same place or the same job.

Well Garza was already on his fourth chance so I think he should be all out of chances.

She is a genuine $#*Tshow in pretty much all regards.

I am not sure what stood out more in this exchange. What a complete tool that guy was or how incredibly professional she was. I have had plenty of speeding tickets (especially back in the $5 days) and warnings over the years and I am always amazed how professional the Montana Highway Patrol officers are. This guy is just an idiot.

You know what is craziest about that woman being the spi? The person she was running against, was married to an elementary school teacher who got pulled over with meth, mushrooms, lsd, and cocaine. The car smelled of pot when he was pulled over.

The wife, an educator, had no clue.

Exactly. Weak head coach.
