Anyone know how he's doing? Never like to see injuries, even for the cats...but especially MT kids.

Doc, assuming you saw the play, what do you think it is? I thought it looked like the Terrell Owens-esque fibula that pretty much started the outlaw of the horse-collar tackle (not saying Tommy was tackled that way). Wife thought it looked like an MCL/ACL.

I actually didn't see it. Really it's why I am asking. Was hoping it wasn't an ACL and would rather it be an MCL (which heals well), or even the fibula. You can injure the syndesmosis in between the fibula and tibia with those fractures too, so that's take a screw as well. Hope he has a great recovery, whatever the issue, and back on the field soon!

Thanks for the info, Doc. If I recall correctly, he was bent backward and driven into the turf with his knee bent and foot/ankle turned laterally. I share your hope that he recovers as quickly as possible.

I heard MCL. Cannot confirm just came from someone that has a kid playing

OK if this is true...then that's best case. Even a terrible tear usually heals well. They rarely need surgery, but in a high level athlete, sometimes it's done. They are crazy painful, even a mild sprain. Man...really hope this is the case! Thanks Ursus.

I certainly hope the best for the kid. My grandson played against him in High School, and has told me many times, that he thought he was an even better person than he was a football player. May he heal fast, well, and completely and be back on the field next year.

Seems like it would be MCL, patellar or quadriceps, given that his leg bent up and overextended over itself and didn’t seem like their was as much lateral torsion. He was standing on the sidelines afterwards, so I doubt it was ACL or PCL. Looked pretty damn uncomfortable. He’s tough, but how much can his body take when he’s running into that line like a battering ram every other play.

Maybe try bobcat nation since hes one of them

Yeah, I don't go on there...don't want to inflate their traffic. It's why I asked people who may: 1. live in MT, 2. know someone, or 3. get on BN.
Way to be an anus GP
