IMO, we need to snag one more school (hopefully UI), create two divisions, & implement a conference championship game. It will be interesting to see what happens if we move to a 14 team conference.

There is no time for conference championship games with the (particularly expanded) FCS playoffs.

Sure there is!
OK, when? On a Wednesday? The playoffs start the week after the regular season concludes. This year the regular season concludes the weekend of Nov. 17. The play-in games are the week of Nov. 24; the 1st round the weekend of Dec 1, quarterfinals the weekend of Dec. 8 and the semifinals Dec 15. The extended playoffs already could require 16 games for the finalists; and you want 17?

Each division would play one less OOC game. Conference championship would be on Nov. 17th. Winner gets autobid & seed, & the runner up would get the at large. :thumb:

Both Cal Poly and UC Davis are good additions. Now if we could just vote unc, suu, Idaho state, sac state and maybe PSU off the island all would be well.

GrizMusician, the 10 game season, if all teams play one less OOC game, will never happen and is a terrible solution. I see the Conference Championship game notion as pointless and a waste of conference and team resources. The only possible way a conference championship could happen is if every schools decides to do away with bye weeks, and that also will never happen.

I couldn't agree more. A conference champ means nothing since the playoffs will determine the final outcome. I am not sure if the same conference can meet in the national champion game the way things are structured, though.
