By the looks of that video, the kid has some great potential... He'll fit well into this style of offense. Cant wait to see who else we pick up tomorrow!

On an unrelated note, I appreciate your ass fetish.

It’s a benefit to the rest of us.

I would be very nervous about anyone who has their highlight videos set to rap music... black or white.

I would be more nervous about any team that has a fan video like blue bobcat cup...they just might be the type of team to back out of matchups with teams like NDSU, along with being the type of team that constantly chokes and has racist fans, black or white, :thumb: who automatically associate rap music with thugs.

What a bunch of hillbilly d-bags you are poorgriz, good thing you fit right in with that type.

Since I'm late to the party on this kid, I apologize but does anyone know why he decommmitted from Eastern? I was watching some video of Manu at a 5/13 camp last night where the guy from NEI was interviewing him. In the video a comment by the reporter is made " I see you're projected at CB" and Manu says that is correct. So I was just wondering if we got the late committ because the Griz may give him a shot @ RB? Just wondering what one of you more in the know types have heard? By the way, someone teach the poor kid it's Griz not Grizz! ;)

He's listed on GoGriz as a 5'11" 178 lb safety.

If you have had questions about the ability for backers/safeties who can't cover slot players, this should answer your question as to what their mentality might be going forward.

He might be 'undersized' but he won't lose foot races with slot receivers. The classic 4-3 safety is by gone philosophy these days, this is the type of kid that helps a cover 2 shell team play more coverage combinations. We are getting more athletic and more versatile at OLB/SS/FS and I like it.

Plus he is rail thin, but is about as physical a kid as we brought in. He'll bring the thunder from the safety position if that is where he stays. He'll put some weight on.

That's what I liked in his video. Looks like he's not afraid of contact.

It's too bad he's so needed on the defensive side of the ball -- he's a very dynamic running back, rushing for almost 2,000 yards last year in Oregon's largest classification. He has great feet and good speed, and like you say, he doesn't shy away from contact.

Glad to see the Griz signing very athletic safeties this year, Manu Hudson-Rasmussen and Evan Epperly (might play WR). I'm glad for the return of "playmaker" to the Griz safety position, it's been missing the past few years.

And with Ryan McKinely possibly playing safety as well, from last years class, the future looks bright.
