It has nothing to do with what you call the readers' "smartz." It has to do with people caring enough about themselves and how other people view them to write what is right and correct. Otherwise, you often end up looking like a fool....

Then I will have to look like a fool, cause I could give a rats arse about how others view me. You obviously are not among the people I write posts for. By the way, I know how to spell smarts, as well as ass, ass.

I know all of what you say, so ... why do you choose to look like a fool? Why not use correct grammar and spelling when you actually do know the difference? Simple question.
