Thirteen seed!

With a dominating win over Weber, does anyone see the Griz moving up to a 13 seed? 14 in a row and 20 of 21? I think they're worthy of it. I doubt a 12 seed, but a 13 is a possibility! any thoughts?

I can see it. If we got the 12 seed back against UNR, why not?

This team has been much more dominant.

believe we were a 12 the year we beat nevada. not probable but not inconceivable. we're a better team this year, better record.

The Griz get screwed with a 13 seed after tonights perfomance. They could have beat ALOT of higher seed teams with a second half like tonight.... that was incredible to watch. I honestly feel they could have beaten a Gonzaga or another comparable team... I'm still breathless after watching that second half and I still can't believe I got to watch that......

We need some good teams to lose to get even a 14 seed. Impressive 2nd half, but there are a lot of very good teams with better resumes that if they win their conference tourney will be seeded above us unfortunatly.

the selection committee likes hot teams. you never know. they gotta better than a 15 seed, where lunardi had them earlier in the week. They've been dominant in this league; and especially tonite.

Get ready for first round match up with Duke, according to some bracketologists

Very true. Problem is a lot of hot teams are winning their conference tourney. The committee also likes regional matchups so that could play in our favor as well hopefully. One of the reasons we got the 12 seed a couple of years ago was because of that reason.

Bucknell lost to Lehigh, and Lunardi had them as a 14. are the Griz better than Lehigh? Akron? We'll see what the committee says.

SWEET!!! We'd kick the sh** out of Duke!

I feel this team is a legit 11 or 12 seed. However, reality is best we get is a 13, 14 maybe. No way we are a 15.

By the way, my brother and I, will be in Albuquerque by coincidence the weekend of the tournament. We are praying for the GRIZ to be playing there. Please pray with us!!!

I shall 'Tebow' right now for mtgrizrule...... I agree the Griz are a legit 11 or 12 seed. How can a 14 mid major team get anything less???? Especially after tonight...but the committee wants more well known seeds and sadly the BSC may never get higher.. Interestingly Long Beach State may get a MUCH higher seed when we beat them on their HOME court??? Huh??

I am finishing my Tebow right now so give me a minute or two.....

We beat LBSU on OUR home court, not theirs. Still, it was a good win. The North Dakota loss is what is going to screw us if any loss does.

No shot at 13, I am afraid. The quality wins are just not there outside LBSU and Weber State, and there is the bad loss to North Dakota.

Just think the Big Sky was too bad this year to get higher than a 14 without a lot of meat in the non-conference... I still see 14/15, right on the line there, in my opinion.

We have more quality wins this year than we did in 2005-2006 when we were a 12 seed. Our only quality (top 100) win during the regular season that year was against Stanford (85). We also had 5 bad losses. Boise St (176), NAU (121), Weber (264), Idaho State (210), and Portland State (195).

In 2009-2010 when we were a 14 seed, our RPI was 90something. We had 7 bad losses, and 2 quality wins (both over weber).

This year we have 3 quality wins. LBSU (35, which is a top 50 win..that's a real good one), and 2 over Weber (68 at the moment). We do have 3 bad losses though too. ND (260), San Francisco (137) and Oregon State (147).

A 12 seed isn't out of the question. The committee loves hot teams, and there aren't many mid majors as hot as the Griz right now, winning 20 of their last 21, and 14 in a row. Our RPI was around 82 before the Weber game, so it'll probably be mid 70s. 12 or 13 is likely I'd say. 14 would be bullshit...and a 15 would be reason to get out the pitch forks and torches.

11 or 12 seed? No way. We are in 13 or 14 seed range here is our competion for those seeds as projected by ESPN (not going to post 11 & 12 seeds, we aren't in there league resume wise):

Projected 13 seeds
South Dakota State: 25-7 (w. 19 pt win over Washington who was Pac12 reg season champs) 49 rpi
VCU: 28-6, 38 rpi
Nevada: 25-5 (w. win over Montana) 46 rpi
2 play in at large teams

Projected 14 seeds
Belmont: 27-7 (w. 1 pt loss to Duke) rpi 61
Davidson: 25-7 ( w. win over Kansas) rpi 65
Akron: 21-10, rpi 62
Bucknell 24-9, rpi 84

Montana, 25-6, rpi 82, 223rd SOS, 1-2 against rpi top 50, 3-3 agains rpi top 100 (w. 2 of those over Weber)

We look good right now, but we play in a weak conference with a weak schedule. Not going to impress objective committee members, of which most haven't seen us play. They look at the numbers and impressive wins and bad losses (body of work). Weber State isn't going to get their attention. Long Beach State really is our only big win. 14 strait wins will help. North Dakota was a bad loss. I predict a 14 seed. 13 seed would be a welcome surprise.
