There are people involved here.

I love the Griz as much as anyone, and sure I am really disappointed in the year. However, some of the fans have been really ugly. Let us remember that there are people involved here. These football coaches have families. Some with kids that go to school and hear this stuff of their dad getting fired. Additionally, these players are mostly young players on this team. They need support; not everyone being negative and ugly. Just look our punter's tweets and how awful he felt. I think us as fans just need to remember these are people, and people are not perfect. We need to give these young players and coaching staff a chance here. I have high expectations for every Griz team, but it does not do any good to be ugly on social media or blogs. So let's support these players for this final game (rivalry game at that), and who knows maybe we back into the playoffs. If you get in to the playoffs anything could happen.

That's a pretty wild dream for a team that's been beaten by three middle of the pack teams and gives up 44 to ISU. The team is regressing, not progressing.

SMH. Accountability. People are actually expected to do their jobs well. That is a lesson worth learning. Coaching is a tough business...coaches and their families understand it. I guarantee the players are disappointed in their performance...

How do you suggest we support them?

I think we best support them by holding their coaches accountable. Again - just my opinion. I am not a booster. I have no money or influence. Just a fan.

I agree with the first post. Jeez, support the team. The players and coaches obviously feel horrible. I really don't get guys like Kem, who was apparently on the team in the 60's (I assume a bench warmer) saying the crap he says. In my view, the definition of a bad fan.

Oh BS on "accountability". It doesn't even apply in this situation. Do you really not even know what supporting your team or support is? Coaching is a tough business, in large part because of idiot fans who don't understand the game and never played the game.

Support them however you want. I have no problem with anyone who has an nagative opinion of any loss. Coaches expect the heat and players understand the pressure. Coaches are accountable. Look at the number of jobs that open every year. They know they are accountable. I just don't think they need to be accountable to a couple of hundred fans on a message board that allows them to spew venom anonymously. I also think that the anger displayed young men who wear the uniform with pride and do their best is over the top. I think you can disagree with coaches and be frustrated with performances without being so vile in the process.

I only played in high school and coached high school, but I agree that the work accountability is misused and overused so often. Coaches know accountability. They lose their job because of it. Players know accountability. They lose playing time or even their scholarship because of it. I think sometimes as posters, we don't have accountability because we post under anonymous screen names. I wonder if what we said would be different if we had to put our name on it?

I am in agreement that there are "people" here. I have long been in favor of coaches acknowledging that as well and not offering derogatory innuendo about players or former staff at Quarterback Club or anywhere else.
