The Sanders Isthmus

The problem has already been noted, the UNAU QB had short drops and the ball was out quickly, negating the rush. To the big receiver it was a 50-50 or back shoulder throw to the sideline. For the guy on the other side, it was seeing him run by the other corner, which should concern Semore/Stitt.

For Gabrud, they're going to have to keep track of where he is because unlike the UNAU guy, he can run. The Fisty line was pretty good - let's hope that the WEW o-line is its usual porous self. We're I Semore, would consider using more corners on the field, rather than the two corner & two safety lineup. After what they're seeing on film this week, I wouldn't plan on WEW running unless they get bored.

CB is the most difficult, most unforgiving position on the field. Your usually stuck one on one trying to cover an extremely gifted athlete who knows where they're going and what they're doing and you don't. You can make 10 great plays and you give up one big play and your the goat. That's why Tru lock down corners are so rare and such a gift.

I agree. Cornerbacks often turn into great football analysts and message board posters too.

Then again, sometimes they're complete flops. 8-)

First TD pass Sander's had outside looked like he thought he had inside saftey help and Strong went hard toward line of scrimage and left post patern inside wide open have a hard time blaming Sander's on first TD with out knowing the D call. If that was Strong's responsibility he missed being in position for covering the deep inside routes. Strong also got tourched on the second TD pass.

There was supposed to be safety help on that play. Don't know which one.

Growler was a cornerback?

#9 was never in this game. Either pick it up or move it out because he was liability on the field Saturday.

Oh, BS. Either learn the game, or pick it up and move it out.

Haha. I see Big Bad Jack hasn't changed since he moved from Great Falls. Once a brown nose always a brown nose. Sanders was horrible on Saturday and he knows it.

I don't agree with the criticism of Sanders. He is a very good player. While I didn't focus just on Sanders, and missed a bit of the game due to work, I didn't see Sanders having anymore issues than any other secondary player. I didn't notice NAU targeting or attacking Sanders. He's the free safety. Not sure how a free safety gets targeted on every play or most plays. The safeties were helping bracket Butler. That's part of the reason he had only 4 catches for 75 yards. A safety must have missed his assignment on the early long post for TD to Moorehead. Don't know which one. Not sure who missed assignment on a short TD pass. Wasn't necessarily a secondary player. Sanders made 5 tackles, just like Strong. Sanders called the defensive secondary signals, so the coaches must have confidence in his decision-making. Maybe I just haven't been watching closely enough, but I do pay attention to secondary play.
JR Nelson had Butler the entire game no matter which side of the formation he lined up on. He received little or no help from the safety position. I watched JR closely as I was intrigued on how well he would play after the big suspension. He responded with terrific play on an island with Butler. Sanders blew a red zone responsibility that allowed his man to run a simple out for a score with no coverage. Some of the errors in the secondary were so blatant that it was hard to be sure who f'd up... :egriz:

The refs did not call several push offs on Nelson by Butler. They did allow several blocks in the backs, holding, late hit out of bounds, taunting by NAU that was a classic case of homer refs they did more to help Sourer's team than his players. M. Sanders, Nelson, and Mc Kinley did well the safties were not good. Think Griz will respond well. Butler is a punk.

Have never been a brown nose in my life and never will be. You are an idiot. Always were, and always will be. Oh, and learn something about the game, if you are going to post.
