The Offense

I know I only get to watch the games on TV. And it has probably been said before but if Johnson can find his targets regularly I can't see anybody stoping this offense except themselves like they did last week. I feel very good about the rest of the season.

If we run for 380 yards we won't lose many...mix in some play action, that will work. The other team can't score when they don't have the ball....football 101.

it looks like shades of bobbyball without the griz screen

I think our line is best at power football, but I'd like to see us mix in some screen game, get Van touchs with beef in front of him. Once he gets second level all bets are off. Hopefully the O will expand their playbook as the year wears on.

Offense played well today, they have fallen a little more in love with the long pass than I think they need to, but I'm not bitching after hanging 55 on PSU.

And realistically I think the offense will have to keep scoring like this to win games against the better teams, the defense made the turnovers and stops when they had to but damn they gave up a lot of yards between the 20's.

Mix it up. CHRIST. JJ on a roll out would screw anyone's game plan up  I'm not sayin it's bad but there isn't much to this offense. They can run, that's for sure but our O line better step up and blow some $hit up against teams like UNI & NDSU. SHSU would be tough too. Not sure how that would turn out...

Football 401: NAU did against us, TWICE.

Agreed, though turnovers played a big part in both games, I can still see Pete N putting it on the ground last year from our NEZ perch.
