...of Montana Grizzly football promise to be exciting. I have been saying it since the moment the University announced the Champions Center. And today dawns a new era...we now have an exciting new offensive system coming to Montana with a new innovative Head Coach...we have a strong core of returning assistant coaches...a strong core of returning players...a smorgasbord of quarterbacks to compete for the starting role...what looks to be one of our best recruiting classes ever...outstanding facilities including the soon-to-open Academic Center and the soon-to-be-built Champions Center to go along with the best small-college stadium in all the land...and last but certainly not least the loudest and most-loyal fan-base in all the FCS. Everything is looking up for the Montana Grizzly Football Program. EVERYTHING! We are on the front end of a resurgence that will rival the construction of Washington-Grizzly Stadium itself. I feel it in my bones and I BELIEVE! GO GRIZ!!!

Where's that Kool Aid? I'll drink it.

Well said. I was a big proponent of Hauck, but I am excited about the potential that comes with Stitt. It will be a fun ride.

Yes! Well said Griz90!!

Agreed - It's a great day to be a Grizzly! The future is looking very bright, and I can't wait to be part of it!

Go Griz!

...will be it for Stitt.

Success here will quickly lead to a chance with a major program, ie Colorado. Non-success well....3 years tops.

I will enjoy the next 3 years though.

You may be right but if you watch the "Happy is hard to beat" video, he talks about liking his gig and quality of life in Golden and if the rumors are true, Mrs. Stitt may have needed some convincing. If he is successful and they fall in love with Missoula (as so many have), he might stick longer than you think, especially if a move up is announced during his tenure.

Yes, I know he mentions being competitive and wanting to compete at the highest level in the same video.

I watched that video, and read several of the text articles, and agree that "quality of life" may be a bigger factor than we normally expect in these situations. Of course, Golden, while it's very nice, is basically a suburb of -- really a part of -- Denver. If Missoula doesn't meet the family's expectations for big-city amenities, then "all bets are off."

Re, "competitive": I put this on an earlier thread, but think it's worth repeating. Given his desire to try his offensive skills against "D-I" defenses, he might be one to push for more "play-up" games against 1-A opponents. Something to think about.
