The new #42 will be remembered for years to come

Riley Wilson can ball

We haven't had his size and footspeed since Crebo.

Closest we have had is Gamboa and he was basically a safety that tried to play LB at his best was 215.

Save all your, but Tripp, but Boomer but McSurdy, but Coyle takes. All good players but your wrong, dead ass wrong

Trust me we haven't had this in 30 years and he's only gonna get bigger and better

Watched Riley play against my cousin in Prosper Texas. 6A biggest schools in Texas. It’s the best football player at the high school level in the country. He is going to be a baller for us and go down as one of the best. He’s such a great addition

Can’t say that I disagree…some have issues with his coverage skills…we shall see how that improves over time.

Van Ackeren was better than Gamboa.

Absolutely but he was nowhere near as fast as Gamboa.

I'm talking about speed and Wilson has it unlike anyone I can remember. Crebo was bigger than Wilsom and had this kind of speed.

It's unique and I think Wilson plays faster on the field because of his anticipation and knowledge of the game. He makes clear and decisive decisions and flat out gets it done

Throw in Kose and you have pretty good backers in that group as well. And their seconds were good too.

After watching the game again at home, it became clear to me that MSU underestimated the speed of the entire Grizzly defense. Tommy couldn't beat us on the edge. On another play, I was sure he was off to the end zone to only be run down from behind.

My favorite play of the game was when Wilson picked up their dirtiest player, Davis, and threw him 5 yards through the air like a little kid...
Great recruiting!

YES!!!

As soon as the fax machine gets set up at Mr Hoops’ lake house, I am making the greatest meme

I am definitely excited to see Riley continue to make big plays. He could end up being on the Linebacker U Mount Rushmore when all is said and done.

I've had a #42 jersey since 2000. Back in the day, the number worn by Adam Boomer, ILB, who made his mark on the field.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a tackle made to look so silly. Don't think he even managed to "touch" him.

One of my friends that played with Boomer was in Missoula last week. We were chatting with a current coach downtown and coach said he makes plays in practice he hasn't seen often at UM.

Both mentioned Boomer because of the number and said "old guys will think of Boomer first and Wilson 2nd when they see that number, newer fans will only think of Wilson" If he stays healthy he's gonna be a force the next couple years.

Love his energy

Yeah, I'm a 'old guy.' Boomer had his 'Boomer Crew' in WGS. He was known for his hitting/tackling, the kind that get the 'oooh's and awwwh's today. But the 'Crew' came up with something specific to him. He'd crunch some guy, impressively, and the crowd responded with, 'BOOM-er!!!' Wilson has lots of playing time left. So does the crowd.
