The Monties

What is the Monties? Moving forward, it is our EGRIZ version for the GRIZ of ESPN's "The Herbies". I thought this would be fun to do before the season begins. I look forward to what others think for these.
Feel free to expand these to the conference or nationally, as well. I'll start with the GRIZ only.

Ultimate game-changer: Josh Buss (if healthy)
Most exciting player: JLM
Best tandems: WR's core
Throwback players: Cy Sirmon
Breakout star: Dante Olson
Rodney Dangerfield (no respect): Keenan Curran
All-intangible: Jesse Sims
Most unselfish: Justin Calhoun
Ultimate Montie (defense): Josh Buss (if healthy), Jesse Sims.
Ultimate Montie (offense): JLM
Biggest shoes to fill: The whole OL (as a group), Dalton Sneed (individual)
Welcome back (offense): Colin Bingham
Welcome back (defense): David Shaw
Welcome back (coach-I added this one)- Of course, Bobby Hauck

Looks pretty good. The only one I might change in most unselfish is Vika. He changed from the starting MLB to FB, a position that gets no glory and probably won’t see the field for half of the offensive snaps. Calhoun definitely sacrificed his offensive production and highlights for the most scrutinized and ridiculed position but he will still have the opportunity to make plays. Of course rumor has it that both may still see the field at their former positions too, especially Vika.
