The Little Brown Stein

That is one cool trophy. Did anyone see it after the game? I went on the field and touched it while Ciche Pitcher was holding it. I guess it'll be on the good side of the Bitterroot Range for the next few years. Ain't that sweet!?!

Fill up my stein with that good old mountain drool!! We can drink from that mug for a long time! We likely won't play the Tater Tots until after the big shuffle some years down the road. How sweet it is to beat the spud diggers four years in a row. What a sweet victory! The atmosphere couldn't have been better. The newcomers in the N-zone are really catching on. Let's do it again next Saturday! Time now to go backpacking for a few days to take advantage of Indian summer in Montana!

This victory wasn't just the 4th in a row, it was the 8th victory in the last 10 games against our 2nd oldest rival!

The Griz won 91, 92, 93, and 94
UI won 95, and 99
The Griz won again in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.

I was bummed in 95, when UI won and we didn't play for again for several years. This time, the Little Brown Stein is right where it should be, and if Idaho wants a shot at getting it back, they have to renew the series.

Somebody should read the fine print on the bottom of the Little Brown Stein. I'm thinking that it says they retire the trophy to the team that wins four times in a row.
