Sac State by far, the Griz looked horrible in that game.
Yep. Much like the Weber game in '08, it jolted a seemingly complacent team into full on ass kicking mode.

Watching that 08' Weber game is exactely what I kept thinking about.

I don't get it. Are we saying where do we think this team is at this point compared to last year?

If we are asking that question, I think they are ahead of where they were last year, at this point in the season.

We're ahead of where we were at this point last season IMO. I was worried about TM, but think he is progressing better than most thought he would. Other than our secondary, our D is better at this point as well. Our front 7 are DOMINANT! Tim Rosenbach is a true O-coordinator. I think the play calling is 100% better this year, and TR will get the most out of the weapons we have. This team could make a deep run in the playoffs again this year. We just need to shore up that secondary and keep pounding the rock the way we have in the first two games to ease McKinney's development a bit. Im awful impressed with this coaching staff! Kudos to them for getting this team through that tumultous off-season without missing a beat in terms of their on-field performance.

I think thr defense is a lot worse. But, it's because of it being young and not experienced.

the defense doesn't look as good because of the play in the secondary. ewu and maybe even the spuds could give them trouble this year.

What I was getting at was this: Last year the GRIZ seemed to improve a little with each game. To me it seems like the boys played as well against ASU as they did after maybe the 4th or 5th game of 2011.

I agree, however, what worries me coming into this Liberty Game is that our boys may have a hard time regrouping and giving it everything they have again the week after a tough loss. I look at Liberty and think they may have had the same type of scenario from week 1 to week 2. They played with everything they had at Wake Forest, and perhaps were spent physically and emotionally. Maybe that's a stretch, and maybe I'm just getting a bit worked up after a tough loss. But I do know that this is a Turner Gill coached team, they seem to play well on the road, and we will definitely need to bring our A game. CANNOT overlook this team!
