Gotta love this, Griz alums.
In an earlier thread I noted that Havre native, UM Grad, occasional eGriz poster and former Seattle Mariners' beat writer for the Tacoma News Trib (TNT), Ryan Divish, was recently hired for the same position at the Seattle Times.
You can catch that thread here: http://www.egriz.com/grizboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=64390" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Ryan wrote his first blog post for the Times this morning and -- here's his first paragraph:
"...we – my bosses and I – felt like it would still be a good thing to write a brief introduction. I will also do a live chat today at 4 p.m. to answer any questions you have about me, my coverage, the Mariners, the greatness of the University of Montana, the grittiness of Willie Bloomquist, the friendliness of Chone Figgins and whatever else you could possibly want to know."
Wonder if the Times might consider sending Ryan out to Hec Edmundson Pavilion to cover the Griz against the Washington Huskies tonight? After the live chat, of course.
Anyway, if you happen to have even a bit of interest in baseball, make sure to visit the Seattle Times site sometime soon to read Ryan's entire blog post. Good stuff.
Once a Griz, always a Griz!
