Let's reflect on one of the best that ever ran the ball for the Griz. Some clips of MM as well. Wouldn't it be fun to have a RB that looks for people to hit again!

Thanks for posting this! Also...sure was fun watching oline guys that knew a run was coming and could drive block and go second level to get another block. I think Calhoun and company will love to run with a play call that isn't ROP so can go get some hits on lbs and safeties down field. Nothing demoralizes an opponent more....

Chase is a legend. One of the all-time greats. But, first off, it is doubtful that that exact offense will be what Rosie runs at UM, and BH is obviously fine with that. Secondly. I wouldn't bet against Jeremy Calhoun having a big senior season. Seems like the OP was insuinating the Griz don't have a good RB right now. And while Calhoun isn't Chase Reynolds, he is a two-time All-Conference RB in his own right, while playi8ng in an offense that at times, made him feel like an after thought. I happen to think Jeremy Calhoun's potential for next season is sky high.

We are loaded at running back next year
Calhoun, Lee, Rey Green, Moses(this kid is going to surprise many) and McCombs. Lots to be excited about.

Yes. Chase is a legend. And that is the point of the post. I wasn't talking about the offense, the scheme, or coaching at all. Just loved Chases' attitude.

Calhoun is a stud, and I get excited every time he touches the ball (especially with some DOLA going on). Our RB's are awesome if they stay healthy.

Lex Hilliard and Yohanse Humphrey were not chopped liver either. Belong in the same zip code if not the same house.

IMO Chase's best quality as a dominant running back was his patience more than anything else. Unfortunately it's very, very hard to teach that, and he had it in spades.

I take nothing away from Chase Reynolds, but we need some old-fashioned, disciplined run blocking like that once again. I think Hauck will bring that junk yard dog element back to our game. Does Chase have any eligibility left? He was an animal of a running back!

Great video. So glad that there are JMU-game highlights in there.

You may ultimately tackle Chase, but you will pay the price...and he almost never went backwards after being hit.
