We are going to be recording a new show Sunday evening, get at me here with any questions or comments, or just general thoughts on the upcoming season.

We are also going to have a guest for at least part of the show from the R&R cat cast in an attempt to give fair and balanced content to “the neighbors”.

Any chance you are going to do a “live podcast”??

Over/under on the number of beers per broadcaster consumed: 6 beers, 4 if they are microbrews.

I say over. I hear tops popping all the time in those pods, unless y’all have gone soft…

I was just about to start a topic asking for podcast fall camp preview.

My main concern is actually over the future of the pod if Mike makes his way in to the big chair for the city. Seems to me that Mike has this NIL thing figured out given his campaign finances, and that his talents are wasted and would be better used in the athletic department. Is James ready for prime time???? I don’t think he’ll be allowed to partake in the beerly tradition for a few more years, so what’s his virgin drink of choice. I’m thinking he’s truly a sasparilla man.

As far as football, it seems we’re entering camp with a bigger question mark on defense than offense for the first time in Haucks second tenure. Is this team more balanced across the board now or is it still too heavy on one side of the ball?

Also seems the coaches don’t think too highly of our program around the conference. Who will be more accurate at years end, the coaches or the media?

A few topics that I think would be interesting, in the form of a question.

1) We have an incredible depth at WR and RB, with a lot of parity. Do you see any particular players standing out this year? (Ostmo, Gilman, Simpson, and Fontes for me)

2) Same for Corners and Linebackers. A lot of good players and a wealth of depth. Who do you think will be the one to step ahead? (I think Walker is awesome, Hill is the most underrated guy on the defense, and I think our uber experienced safeties will be the best in the Big Sky and people will act surprised. And Rostad is due to make a grand entrance.)

3) What coaching changes are you interested in and/or excited about?

4) Which home game are you most excited for, and why? (other than the neighbors)

5) Where is your favorite place to stop by a tailgate before a game? That's the important stuff.

Are season ticket holders wasting their money this year? There's really only 2 worthwhile games being played at WA Griz this year, and the product on the field, which hasn't played well enough to win a measley quarter final game since....when? You can put lipstick on a pig for only so long. I'm very curious to see how this year shakes out being that it's a contract year. I think the results this year are a LOT more important than the actuaries are letting on. Is another 8-4, or 8-5 season going to be enough? I never thought I'd ask that question with BH as the HC, but I think it's a fair question at this point. What's the win-loss # necessary for a contract extension, or a decision to go in a different direction? After all, UM has the highest ticket prices in the entire BSC. what are fans getting for the crazy expensive costs... alcohol served to the upper crust folks who easily smuggle it in regardless? Thoughts?!?

Why the hell would a Griz Fan Pod give equal time to the ‘Scats?

He grew up in Missoula. We have a soft spot in our hearts for him

I don’t have a question teed up at this point; I’m just happy the pod is back. Looking forward to hearing your takes.

Don't attempt to be logical with this group. They'll just attack you for being negative, or a bad fan for expecting more from a program which enjoys the biggest recruiting advantage of any FCS team in the nation.

Your points are reasonable and valid. But, you need to understand that it takes time to re-build a dynasty. Once Bobby gets his players in place, the future will be bright!

No kidding...why?

Maybe they intend to spend most of the time getting another perspective on the mess of a situation over there and throwing many light hearted jabs and barbs that way which could be amusing for griz fans while killing time until week 1. I doubt it will be “fair”.

James, what’s your favorite movie?

Best college football helmet colors and logo?

What can be done to improve/revitalize the pregame festivities at WaGriz?

Is there a clear-cut #1 FF pick this year?

Larger bar tab: bobcat assistant coaches after a big win, or Ursa on a random Tuesday?

Guys

1 player on each side of the ball not being talked of much, you expect to contribute this year. Players with very little to no playing time last season, that aren't obvious, not including qb.

Offense
Sawyer Racanelli
Has a lot of talent. Can he overcome last year's injury?

Defense
Jared Ramos

If he's too obvious,
I'll go with Elijah Brady.

There's plenty of opportunity for each at their positions.
