Eric is a cool dude. I remember him balling for the Hellgate Knights.. :egriz:

Awesome family, and what a solid player Cooper has worked himself into. He's not just on the team because of the pull that his family has. Cooper is becoming a very good C. We are fortunate to have the Sprunk family on and off the field.

Such a really cool deal. Eric has always been very good to UM, which is why I often cringe about the uniform whining. No team in the FCS has the kind of Nike deal that the Griz have, and obviously Eric is the SOLE reason why. He is an incredible generous man, and Griz football has benefitted from his generosity in so many ways, and the fact that he and his wife gifted the Academic Center, it just goes to show how much he truly cares about Montana.

While it is true that Eric has been a HUGE supporter of UM Athletics, the Zanon brothers and a few others are in very high positions at Nike. UM is very well connected there.

Thank you to the Sprunks for their incredible support!

Eric is the COO at Nike and is the point man for UM's Nike shoe and uniform deal. Watch the equipment video from last year. Kent specifically says "UM's relationship with Nike would not be possible without Eric Sprunk".

I think it's pretty funny that one of the few things 'Scat fans think they have over UM is that THEIR graduates go on to make REAL money.....and yet....here we are....two humble UM Business School grads donating millions of dollars back to the university....

A huge thank you to the Sprunks.

I know there is a a lot of animosity toward UM leadership on this board, and some of it is justified. But all one needs to do is look to the donations rolling in to see that there is a great deal of good going on. UM just received its largest single donation ever: $24 MILLION dollars.

Gifts like these do not happen by accident or in a vacuum, folks.

I agree with everything you said in that post. However, there are others that certainly help the relationship, such as the Zannons, Connors, etc. I wasn't trying to diminish the importance of UM's relationship with Eric at all. Just pointing out that there are others who help out UM also.

Eric's a good guy and huge UM supporter. Assume he may be in mix for support of the new Performance Center too. Seems to be coming to all the games. Spends alot of time at Flathead in the summer. Has done incredibly well at Nike. Heard he had his share of fun during his undergrad days in Missoula. His son Cooper is a huge success story in UM football.
