The Bye Week is Over and.....

Nothing has changed ;) The obvious argument are the eagles and cats offenses as prolific as they look or are the defenses they have played that bad? The weeks coming up will determine that I guess. About the Griz....
1. We are beginning to get healthy. The offensive line has been bad mouthed by Griz and non-Griz alike. I know Scott Gragg will get these young men coached up to they're abilities and having Ralston and Thiebes will help. It won't be a power running team and hopefully JJ is upright at the end of the game. Henderson will make a"return" which should help read the field. JJ will be ok. :thumb:
2. Coaching on the offensive side of the ball needs to change from a smash mouth mentality to spread em out and run this offense to JJ's strengths. IMO JJ should be in the shotgun the majority of the time. The line is no where good enough to let all ready slow developing plays succeed. Just move the damn chains, get 1st downs, and score in the red zone. Down and distance seems to be this teams Achilles Heel.
3. The defense is very good. We're healthy, tackle well, fast, and have good mojo. The linebackers have proven they are for real. Get off the field on 3rd down, and play for 60 minutes and I'm positive we will be in every game.
4. Special teams is improving. I like Sullivan. Seems like a natural fit and will improve from game to game. Punt returner needs to field the ball. Even if all he does is fair catch field the damn ball.

Personally I like where were at. While msu and ewu are getting all the attention Montana is just kinda moving along, and improving from week to week. Will we score 50 points...nope but we won't give up anything near what the BigSky saw yesterday. Bottom line is win. It doesn't matter if by 1 or 50 just win.

Not trying to be a jackass questioning your post and you make some very good points, but do you know for sure that Henderson is going to be back? I know he has been battling illness for some time. Did he finally turn the corner. I pray he did. The young man is one hell of an athlete and a difference maker.

Sometimes one has to pry but something says Hendo isn't finished just yet. The above post was meant to start the week off on a positive note. I'm tired of all the other stuff. I may not know as much about football as some but I love being a fan of one of the best teams in the country.
