The best that never was!

The throw is my favorite baseball play ever....the ball never touched the ground and he threw out Harold Reynolds from the left field warning track.

That kind of throw makes Bo even more of a "freak". Not only did he have all that speed and power, he had a cannon for an arm. Amazing!

for you Big G *edit*

a taste of greatness

Say what you want about Marcus Dupree but he had it all, size, speed and moves. The best line in the tragic ESPN 30 for 30 program was the Texas HC that lost to OU in the recruiting war saying " Marcus was a two footer, all you need to do was watch two feet of his film to know he is good." Injuries and Barry did Marcus in.
No doubt........Coach Barry said that his biggest regret of his coaching career was how he handled Marcus Dupree. He had it all...wish he just had a little more mental toughness as a young man and came back after that injury. But you cant coach all kids the same way, marcus needed to be coddled and Barry did the exact opposite..

i talk about it like i actually watched him haha, i was born his freshman year..but god i wish we all could have seen how special he could have been!

Yes Marcus needed to be coddled. But Barry was the opposite. Barry purposely tried to f..k with Marcus's head. How about when Barry said that he was going to make him a Tight End?
That's just stupid and horrible coaching.

Bo seems like he would do well retiring up in Montana. More proud of his trophy hunts than his Heisman... and yeah probably best 30 for 30. I like the point that they make about him being a natural athlete before the steroid era. If he played in the 90s nobody would have ever believed he was natural. The guy didn't even really lift weights... Incredibly sad his career ended the way it did...

I know, I like the part of that show that shows his weight room and he said something like hes never lifted weights in there he just used it as a backdrop for interviews.

Funny

That is the same thing I use my weight room for, I could be a great athlete.....

The best Bo Jackson play is when Tim Brown had a horrible kick return, and Bo ran from his own 1 yard line to the opponent's goal line, back into his own end zone, and then back down for a TD. The play took an entire quarter off the clock, and I don't think Bo was ever touched.
Refs missed a couple blocks in the back, but still pretty impressive.

Bo knows Tecmo. I don't think Belichick would be happy with all the missed tackles either if this was NE today.

Fuck Madden, Tecmo Bowl was the best. :thumb:

Best 30 for 30 was You Dont Know Bo

Just like he was the single best athlete to ever walk on North America, his 30 for 30 is that much ahead of the others as well.

Dude was a flat out stud that I am sure I will never see the likes of again.

This x100000. Awesome episode.

When Dion went for a tackle it was always 50/50 whether he'd make the play. Not against Bo. No way!
