"That's outrageous, and has a tremendous effect on the game"

I don't want to start another "blame the refs" thread, but since I couldn't watch the game live I am making myself watch the replay on espn3 on my apple tv app. I had to see for myself exactly what everyone was talking about so I wasn't skewed one way or another. Of course I think it's ridiculous that the refs blatantly ignored the fact that you can't erase a play that has been run and go back and challenge the previous play. And to hear the color commentator, a long time coach, have to literally get himself under control and to his own admission, "get over it" since it the call wasn't going to change. I love his quote, and for those of you that have the espn3 app and can watch it on replay it is at the 3:44 mark, "That's outrageous, and it has a tremendous effect on the game." Woulda coulda shoulda I know, but damn. This is the playoffs, in a level of football that cries for respect, that has glorified high school refs overseeing these nationally televised games. Damn

I was asking myself, "WTF"? I was pissed when they the game to begin with. The longer it took the more upset I got. I was listening intently for an explanation. Instead, I progressively hear Al Groh get more upset about it as well. I really like Groh as an analyst. When he said what he said, I knew right then and there, the referees majorly screwed up. I was thinking what it took for Groh to not use coaching language of cursing?

Ironically, during Groh's commentary, cameras zoomed in for a short time on Delaney, he was very upset and getting on one of the referees too. I wanted him to just "Lose It" and that crew. Granted, in hindsight good to see he controlled himself, but I thought that was the perfect moment for him to get the troops behind him further. I think they did after that play. After that screw up, the offense and defense played well. They brought that game to TD difference. The referee screw up is even more magnified with the score ending up a TD difference. Whoever the head of this crew was, he needs to be suspended from playoff games for a few years. Maybe even from Div 1 football entirely.

I wonder if we will ever hear a report from the NCAA or the Big Sky offices from this. I am sure someone will be applying pressure to the officiating board to review and justify.

After that play happened we did not score from the 17, how do you figure that is what got the Griz in comeback mode?
