Dear egrizzers,
Now that the regular season is done, and we have canned the cats, I will offer a few comments regarding the 2015 regular season, and about this board.
For me, the 2015 regular season has been a rollercoaster up and down, ending very up. In so many ways, it has been highly entertaining and interesting; and we sit at the moment looking at a home playoff game. Just think how that contrasts with how we were all feeling after the PSU game. I love this Griz team. They have a few ragged parts, but even the worst parts have shown heart and much improvement—like kicking, like punt fielding, like getting healthy, like O-line play, like secondary, like protecting the ball on O . . . . . , but every weakness has been addressed—and no one involved with the team has quit expecting to win. GO GRIZ!
As for egriz: Other than a couple of obnoxious individuals, whom I ignore, I read most of what is posted. I can usually find enough FCS college football discussion to feed my addiction on here (and on AGS) to satisfy. Also, there is sometimes a bit of successful comedy displayed on here, which I enjoy.
This board is an example of what the internet provides. It is maintained and funded by someone (Chris?) so we can sit connected at our devices all over the world, in all time zones together on this public forum, and have real time interaction with each other, regarding the events of Griz Football AS THEY HAPPEN!
The thing I really dislike is all the juvenile goading, gloating, and trash talk being done by (what I assume to be) adults on here. The Cats played hard, honorably, and with a lot of excellent individual effort. They don’t deserve such shameful verbal treatment by armchair experts, as what is displayed on here by some of you. They represent the worthy opponent, to be respected and honored. Some of you are like schoolyard bullies and know-it-alls, even toward our own team, spewing only derogatory criticism.
However, those like Brint, AZ, and some others, who actually contribute information and thoughtful comment (both positive and negative), keep me reading. Carry on. Thanks!
